Dr. Edward Babigumira is board certified in both pain medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

A graduate of Makerere University in Lampala, Uganda, Dr. Babigumira received his medical degree from Kigezi International School of Medicine in Cambridge, United Kingdom, before completing his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation and fellowship training in pain management at the Louisiana State University Medical Center, where he was recognized as Resident of the Year in 2005 and served as chief resident in 2006.

In addition to specializing in pain medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Babigumira is the co-author of research studies on surgical orthopedic procedures.
